Detik paling manis di dalam sukan bola sepak tanah air apabila skuad muda Harimau Malaya menundukkan pasukan Garuda Muda Indonesia di stadium keramat mereka Gelora Bung Karno. Dengan disaksikan oleh lebih 100,000 orang penonton yang membanjiri stadium dengan lebih jutaan lagi melihatnya melalui skrin televisyen, skuad muda bimbingan Ketua Jurulatih Ong Kim Swee, meranapkan impian 2 dekad Indonesia untuk mengenggam pingat emas Sukan Sea apabila kali terakhir mereka memenanginya pada temasya 1991.

Copa America 2011 : Siapa Lagi Punca Kalau Bukan Tevez!

Uruguay reached the Copa América semi-finals at the expense of Argentina with a 5-4 penalty shootout victory following a 1-1 draw after extra time. The Uruguay goalkeeper, Fernando Muslera, was in inspired form making several important saves throughout the match but none bigger than when he stopped Carlos Tevez's effort in the shootout to send the hosts spinning out of the tournament.

Uruguay shocked the home side by taking the lead in the sixth minute from a set piece. Diego Forlán's inswinging free kick from the left was headed back across goal by defender Martín Cáceres and midfielder Diego Pérez slid in to score.

But Argentina equalised 11 minutes later when Lionel Messi sent in a delightful curling cross towards the far post where Gonzalo Higuain ghosted in behind the defence to glance a header past Muslera.

Uruguay were reduced to 10 men in the 38th minute when Pérez, who had been booked for going in on Javier Mascherano with his studs showing, was shown another yellow card for a bodychech on Gonzalo Huguaín.

Argentina were unable to make the added man count with Muslera frustrating Higuaín with a stunning reflex save. Indeed the 10-men of Uruguay could have won the game when Forlán raced onto to a through ball from Luis Suárez but the Argentina goalkeeper, Sergio Romero, was quick off his line to block.

Argentina were reduced to 10-men when captain Mascherano was sent off three minutes from the end of the 90 minutes for a harsh second booking.

Extra time failed to separate the sides and so the game went to penalties. Uruguay scored all five of their spot kicks and Muslera was the hero when he stopped Tevez's blasted effort.

The World Cup semi-finalists will now face Peru in Tuesday's semi-final.

Golkeeper Yang Terlampau!

Konfom golkeeper ni mesti kena sesumpah dengan masyarakat setempat. Apa tidaknya, disebabkan keghairahan nak celebrate kemenangan bola kena tiang, tetiba jadi mimpi ngeri bila bola melantun masuk semula dalam gol. Hancur harapan musnah bak debu berterbangan bila teamnya kalah sebab kegelojohannya meraikan kemenangan yang belum pasti. Aku dah selalu bilang, bola tu bulat...so pengajaran untuk semua golkeeper, pastikan bola itu tetap bulat dalam dakapan korang, bukan dibiarkan begitu sahaja. Sedey beb keeper ni!!! kih kih kih.

Last year we saw not one, but two examples of a goalkeeper celebrating what he thought was a failed penalty kick during a shootout, only to have the ball trickle into the goal behind his back. And since some goalkeepers apparently don't watch YouTube blooper clips as much as they should, it's happened yet again.

This time, it happened in the Italian seventh division playoff between Dro and Termeno during a shootout to decide which club would win promotion to the sixth level of Italian football (the Eccellenza). Termeno's Michael Palma was the penalty taker at the start of the clip, going against Dro keeper Loris Angeli. Palma blasted his attempt off the crossbar, sending the ball high and out of the frame as Angeli -- with his arms flailing in joy -- ran to celebrate with his teammates what both players assumed to be a miss. While the ball bounced back onto the pitch, a depressed Palma trudges away. Meanwhile, the officials kept watch as the ball took several big bounces right into the net.

After a bit of discussion, it was ruled to be a goal and Palma gave Angeli a cocky nod like he knew it all along. From there, the shootout and Dro's misfortune would both continue, with Termeno coming out on top and winning promotion.

UPDATE: According to Corriere dello Sport, Dro filed an appeal over this goal and won on the basis that, during a shootout, a ball that hits the bar and lands back onto the pitch is to be ruled dead (which a few referees have written to say is an incorrect interpretation of FIFA rules). So the match will be replayed and Angeli will probably be much more attentive if it goes to penalties again.
